PRESS RELEASE – April 5, 2013
On Thursday 04/04/2013 at 8:22 p.m., Bedford County 911 Communications Center received a 911 call for a 17 year-old female unconscious and not breathing. Bedford County Fire and Rescue Units responded and began treatment. Because of the age of the victim, members of the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office responded as well. The victim was transported to Bedford Memorial Hospital and later transferred to Carillion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, where she passed away.
At this time, there is no criminal investigation regarding this incident in Bedford County.
