On May 10, 2017 officers from the Lynchburg Police Department and the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office assigned to the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (SOVA-ICAC) executed a search warrant for possession and distribution of child pornography at 1648 Old Farm Road in Bedford County.
The search warrant was part of a joint investigation initiated by task force officers from the Lynchburg Police Department assigned to the SOVA-ICAC.
Approximately 30 items of evidence were seized as a part of the search warrant.
Theodore Ohara Rainey Jr. was arrested and transported to the Blue Ridge Regional Jail in Bedford County. Five felony warrants for “Possession of child pornography” in violation of 18.2-374.1:1 Code of Virginia, were obtained and served. Mr. Rainey is being held with no bond in the Bedford Adult Detention Center in Bedford VA.
This case is ongoing and additional charges may be obtained.
