On 12/4/2012, the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant for possession of child pornography on Baymeadow Dr, Vinton, which is located within Bedford County.
The search warrant was part of a joint investigation by the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and included Task Force officers from the Bedford County County Sheriff’s Office, Christiansburg Police Department, the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, and Vinton Police Department. Over 60 items of evidence was seized as part of the search warrant.
James Otis Baker was subsequently arrested and transported to the Blue Ridge Regional Jail in Bedford County, where 10 felony warrants for possession of child pornography were obtained and served on him for violation of § 18.2-374.1:1 Code of Virginia. Mr. Baker was processed and released on a $7,000 secured bond.
