Missing Juvenile

Update 10:40a.m.…………………..Bedford County Sheriff’s deputies have located Trevor with the help of calls from citizens

PRESS RELEASE

January 23, 2019 

(For Immediate Release)

The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Trevor Ian Chatlos, age 14, who left his home on Ty Bluff Road, Forest this morning. He is 5’8”, 110 lb., blue eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing an orange shirt, black coat, jeans and carrying an old Army backpack containing survival gear. Due to a medical condition he needs to take his medication daily, which he left at his residence.

Anyone with information on Trevor’s whereabouts should call 911 immediately.

Two Year Old Reported Missing in Huddleston Area

Press Release (Missing Child) July 5, 2018 3:10 p.m.
At 12:55 today the body of August Farley, age 2 1/2 , was found in the water by members of the Scruggs’ Dive Team. His body will be transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Roanoke.

Bedford County 911 received a call this morning at 8:30 a.m. reporting a missing two-year-old boy from Rosewood Lane Huddleston. The caller advised the child was last seen around 6:00 a.m.. The child has long brown hair, blue eyes and is wearing dinosaur pajamas pants and yellow PJ shirt. The caller advised they were from Texas and renting a house at Smith Mountain Lake.

BRWA – Lake Estates Water Disruption – May 8, 2018

You may notice low water pressure or no water during this time. After service is restored, you may notice air in the lines or discolored water; this should subside shortly. FOUND SAFE : Alert Bedford: BCSO is Looking For Missing 9 Year Old Girl

UPDATE: FOUND SAFE

At 4:20 p.m. today Bedford County 911 dispatchers received a call from 1200 Blessed Lane Goode. Caller advised that his 9 year old daughter, Zoey Hotaling, was missing. He said she was last seen her around 3:45 p.m.. He said he and his neighbors had been searching the area for her before calling 911. She is a white female, she has cerebral palsey and walks with a limp, she is wearing a pink long sleeve shirt and long khaki pants. She is with her dog, name Peaches. Peaches is cooper color and weighs approximately 40 pounds. Caller advises she will answer to her name.

Montvale Park Bathrooms Vandalized

On Monday December 18, 2017, the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office received a report of vandalism at the Montvale Park. A Bedford County Sheriff’s deputy responded to the park and observed someone had spray painted the three bathroom doors. Two of the doors had obscene language written on them and the third had “Boom/Boon Gang”.

Anyone with information on this crime can call the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office at 540-586-7827 or Central Virginia Crime Stoppers at 1-888-798-5900 or Text 274637. Crime Stopper callers remain anonymous and could receive a cash reward up to $1,000.00.

AlertBedford: Bathrooms at New Montvale Park Vandalized

This past weekend the bathrooms at the new Montvale park were vandalized with graphic language and graffiti. A group calling themselves the “Boom Gang” took credit for the vandalism. This is our new park, if anyone has any information regarding this vandalism please call the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office at 540-586-7827 or submit an anonymous crime tip.

FOUND SAFE!!!!! AlertBedford: Missing Six Year Old Boy from Dowdy Rock Road Found Safe!

The missing 6 year old boy has be located by a search team. He appears to in shape with no injuries…….

At 12:53 p.m. today, Bedford County 911 dispatchers received a report of a missing 6-year- old boy from his home on Dowdy Rock Road. The caller said the boy had been missing since around 10:00 a.m. this morning and was last seen with his black and white border collie named Muffin. The boy’s name is Samuel Welch and he has blonde hair. He is wearing long pants and a blue hoodie.
